Entrepreneurship & Mental Health
April 26 @ 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Mental health is a big deal for entrepreneurs and our families. The data says we are mostly open minded, conscientious and extraverted with a dash of ADHD or bipolar or on some other spectrum-ish condition. The families of entrepreneurs also have an elevated incidence of diagnosable conditions, and living with an entrepreneur creates unique family stresses and strains.
One prominent psychiatrist, Dr. Michael Freeman of UC San Francisco, has made it his life’s work to research entrepreneurs and their families, and to work with them as an executive coach. He and his team have studied over 1200 of us in comparison studies in which managers are the control group. In this important talk he’ll help you and your loved ones understand how to benefit from the strengths and manage the vulnerabilities of your entrepreneur mental health profile, and how you and your family can accommodate each other most effectively.
